  • Implement Best Practices for A (Daily), B (Weekly) and C (Monthly) Cycle Counting.
  • Prepare inventory reports for management.
  • Maintain inventory control procedures and documentation.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder points.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and sales teams.

Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist
Job Summary

The Inventory Control Specialist Person is responsible for overseeing and maintaining accurate inventory records, communicating, ensuring proper stock levels, and supporting efficient warehouse staff and supply chain operations. This role plays a key part in minimizing inventory discrepancies, reducing missing inventory items, and ensuring product availability stock is on hand. This position will report directly too: Assistant Warehouse Manager and Warehouse Manager onsite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records in the company system (Acumatica)
  • Define and Implement ABC Inventory Classification
  • Implement Best Practices for A (Daily), B (Weekly) and C (Monthly) Cycle Counting
  • Preparation for Company Annual Physical Audits
  • Improve Bin integrity
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Communicate (clearly) with management and supervisors
  • Track incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of inventory
  • Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and sales teams
  • Review inventory reports (daily, weekly and monthly)
  • Maintain inventory control procedures and documentation
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder points
  • Prepare inventory reports for management
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations
  • Ability to work with others in the organization on different projects.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s degree preferred)
  • 3-5 years of inventory, warehouse, or supply chain experience
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and knowledge in Acumatica management software (would be beneficial).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to lift and move inventory as required
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes
  • Reach Forklift certification (able to obtain certification train on-site)
  • Analytical skills for reporting and forecasting
  • Warehouse or distribution center setting
  • May require standing for long periods
  • May involve lifting up to [50lbs.]
  • May include occasional overtime during inventory counts and working the weekends.
  • 40-hours per week, Monday through Friday (6:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m.)
