Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist in Surprise, AZ to oversee facility inventory accountability and supply management for equipment, uniforms, and supplies. You will support accurate records, perform counts and audits, and coordinate deliveries and documentation to ensure efficient operations.

Ideal candidates bring strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • Must have at least 1 year experience in property management, inventory control, or a high-volume administrative role in a military, law enforcement, or detention facility.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to document and track inventory using logs or electronic systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Must pass background checks and security screening.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels for supplies, equipment, uniforms, sanitation materials, and facility resources.
  • Conduct routine inventory counts, audits, and reconciliations to identify discrepancies.
  • Coordinate supply deliveries, warehouse organization, and distribution activities.

Pay: $24.26/hr. ($19.17/hr. base rate + $5.09 H&W)

*Pay rates listed reflect the full rate for this position, including both the base pay and health and welfare benefits in accordance with applicable requirements. Pay is based on numerous factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

POSITION SUMMARY INFORMATION: DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS

Position Overview: In this role, you will oversee facility inventory accountability and supply management operations for detention facility equipment, materials, uniforms, sanitation supplies, and operational resources. This position requires strong analytical skills, organizational abilities, and attention to detail to support efficient facility operations.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor inventory levels for operational supplies, equipment, uniforms, sanitation materials, and facility resources.
  • Conduct routine inventory counts, audits, and reconciliation activities to identify discrepancies or shortages.
  • Coordinate supply deliveries, warehouse organization, and inventory distribution activities throughout the facility.
  • Maintain accurate electronic inventory records, tracking logs, and procurement documentation.
  • Prepare inventory usage reports, operational summaries, and accountability documentation for management review.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and compliance with procurement requirements.
  • Coordinate with operational departments regarding supply requests, inventory needs, and replacement materials.
  • Ensure inventory storage areas remain organized, secure, and compliant with safety standards.
Qualifications
  • Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience in property management, inventory control, or a high-volume administrative role within a military, law enforcement, or correctional/detention facility.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to accurately document and track inventory using logs or electronic systems.
  • Ability to navigate Microsoft Office products, specifically Outlook email, Word, and Excel.
  • Must possess sound judgment and perform job duties with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to provide proof of citizenship or legal US work authorization.
  • If prior active-duty military, must provide copies of DD214(s) showing discharge condition.
  • Must consent to fingerprinting.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Clean criminal record and ability to pass a comprehensive background check and security screening.
  • Ability to pass a preemployment medical assessment and drug screening.
  • Excellent communication, observation, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure and in high-stress situations.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Employees may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.

Physical Requirements

Employees may be required to remain in a stationary position, stand, push, pull, climb, kneel, crawl, balance, squat, bend, and reach. Employees may be also required to use gear to move items around, including, but not limited to, carts and dollies. Employees may also be occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 49 pounds.
