Position Overview: In this role, you will perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance activities throughout the detention facility to ensure all building systems, infrastructure, and operational equipment remain safe, functional, and compliant with facility detention standards and facility requirements. You will support daily facility operations by addressing maintenance issues involving plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC equipment, mechanical systems, security fixtures, and general facility infrastructure. This position requires technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within a secure detention environment while maintaining professionalism and operational safety.
Employees may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
Employees may be required to remain in a stationary position, stand, push, pull, climb, kneel, crawl, balance, squat, bend, and reach. Employees may also be required to use gear to move items around, including, but not limited to, carts and dollies. Employees may also be occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 49 pounds.
