Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with branch management and the corporate planning department to forecast demand for units, parts, and accessories.
- Analyze and maintain appropriate branch stocking levels; communicate inventory needs and trends to the corporate planning team.
- Monitor and report on backorders to ensure timely fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Manage virtual warehouse inventory, including conducting biannual audits.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors (e.g., oil, carrying cases, gas cans, signage) to place orders and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Identify and manage obsolete or excess inventory to minimize waste and maximize warehouse efficiency.
- Create and maintain pricing files for upload into STIHL systems and distribution to dealers and select vendors.
- Maintain master data for parts, including supersessions, new product introductions, discontinued items, and bills of materials.
- Generate and distribute recurring and ad hoc sales reports using SAP and other data systems; publish daily sales performance summaries.
- Analyze data such as sales velocity, hit rates, replenishment patterns, and seasonal trends to support decision-making.
- Manage order processing and release (order drops) to the warehouse in alignment with demand and supply planning.
- Allocate inventory for high-demand or short-supply items to ensure fair and strategic distribution.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Specifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related discipline is preferred
- Possesses strong statistical and analytical skills.
- Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- SAP experience strongly desired; excellent data entry skills; excellent organizational skills.
