Job Description: Inventory Control Specialist
This exciting role will ensure efficient and accurate inventory management throughout the organization. This person will lead a team, oversee all inventory control processes, ensure compliance with company guidelines, and suggest process improvements. The company is headquartered in Burlington, WA, and is a leading designer and manufacturer of solar cells and PV modules for the renewable energy industry. Responsibilities:
- Ensure the team achieves objectives related to inventory control and suggest improvements to management.
- Train staff on inventory control processes and update procedures as needed.
- Monitor procurement requests, ensure inbound inventory accuracy, and maintain records.
- Oversee inventory and supply chain management in line with company guidelines.
- Perform critical inventory tasks to maintain stock levels.
- Investigate and reconcile cycle count discrepancies, including shortages and overages.
- Review documentation and product codes to identify discrepancies and troubleshoot quantity issues.
- Develop and implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Respond to sales inquiries and purchase orders.
- Analyze data to determine order quantities and process shipments.
- Coordinate with production schedules to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Track accuracy rates, returns, and defective items to support quality control.
- Prepare and review financial inventory reports with management monthly.
- Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and provide customer service.
- Collaborate with various departments and support organizational goals.
- Process inventory movements and maintain BOM inventory consumption.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Forklift knowledge and experience
- Proven experience in inventory management
- Ability to accurately track inventory and generate reports
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in warehousing industry
- Supervisory experience
- Ability to work cross-functionally
- Flexible schedule
- Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g., ERP)
Salary Range:
- $21-25/hr depending on experience
