Location: St. Louis, MO
Schedule: Onsite, Monday–Friday
Pay Rate: $23.31/hr
Shift: 1st Shift (must be flexible to start times)
Type: Contract to Hire
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Operator to support daily warehouse operations and inventory management at our facility in St. Louis, MO. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, experienced with material handling, and confident using warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners. This is a hands-on position requiring accuracy, communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform accurate inventory counts and cycle counts
Stage and move materials using forklifts or pallet jacks
Use RF scanners and tablets to process inventory data
Perform computer data entry for raw materials and finished goods
Label inventory correctly and ensure proper documentation
Sample raw materials and finished products
Communicate with internal departments via email and Microsoft Teams
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
Operate powered industrial trucks (PITs) safely and efficiently
Adhere to quality and environmental procedures (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, FSSC 22000)
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree
Experience in inventory or warehouse operations
Proficient in using RF scanners and data entry systems
Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks (certification a plus)
Familiarity with SAP inventory functions ( but not required)
Ability to lift 10-50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, kneeling, and reaching
Comfortable working in variable temperatures with minimal climate control
Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
