Job Title: Inventory Operator – 1st Shift (Contract to Hire)
Location: St. Louis, MO
Schedule: Onsite, Monday–Friday
Pay Rate: $23.31/hr
Shift: 1st Shift (must be flexible to start times)
Type: Contract to Hire

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Operator to support daily warehouse operations and inventory management at our facility in St. Louis, MO. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, experienced with material handling, and confident using warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners. This is a hands-on position requiring accuracy, communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate inventory counts and cycle counts

• Stage and move materials using forklifts or pallet jacks

• Use RF scanners and tablets to process inventory data

• Perform computer data entry for raw materials and finished goods

• Label inventory correctly and ensure proper documentation

• Sample raw materials and finished products

• Communicate with internal departments via email and Microsoft Teams

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies

• Operate powered industrial trucks (PITs) safely and efficiently

• Adhere to quality and environmental procedures (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, FSSC 22000)

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree

• Experience in inventory or warehouse operations

• Proficient in using RF scanners and data entry systems

• Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks (certification a plus)

• Familiarity with SAP inventory functions ( but not required)

• Ability to lift 10-50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, kneeling, and reaching

• Comfortable working in variable temperatures with minimal climate control

• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
