UC Health is hiring a full-time Inventory Control Specialist for IS&T.

This position is responsible for the receiving, tracking, ordering, shipping, and reporting of all IT equipment within UC Health. It also involves documenting and tracking all equipment delivery and disposal, and ensuring software licenses compliance across major applications used within UC Health.

Responsibilities

Planning, Ordering, and Shipping

• Collaborate with IS&T staff, department representatives, and vendors to support installation, upgrade, and maintenance of systems.
• Ensure timely shipment of equipment to and from UC Health sites.
• Support users and IS&T staff regarding hardware and software needs.
• Gather and organize information for IS&T support related to new software/hardware.
• Understand the PMO process to ensure project work involving asset purchase/disposal is completed on time.

Hardware Asset Tracking

• Track all IT assets using asset tagging and logging in the hardware database.
• Assign assets to appropriate sites, tracking PO, project number, and asset tag.
• Update asset status in depreciation and asset lists as assets reach end-of-life or are removed.
• Perform periodic asset checks by site to ensure accurate tracking.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of experience in hardware, part number tracking, and inventory management preferred.
