UC Health is hiring a full-time Inventory Control Specialist for IS&T

This position is responsible for the receiving, tracking, ordering, shipping, and reporting of all IT equipment within UC Health. The role involves documenting and tracking all equipment delivery and disposal, as well as ensuring compliance with software licenses for major shrink-wrap applications used within UC Health.

Responsibilities

Planning, Ordering, and Shipping

• Collaborate with IS&T staff, department representatives, and vendors to support installation, upgrades, and maintenance of systems.
• Ensure timely shipment of equipment to and from UC Health sites.
• Serve as a resource for hardware and software needs for users and IS&T staff.
• Gather, organize, and support information for new software/hardware implementation.
• Understand the PMO process to ensure project work involving purchase/disposal of assets is completed on schedule.

Hardware Asset Tracking

• Track all UC Health IT assets via asset tagging and logging in the hardware database.
• Assign assets to appropriate sites and record PO, project number, or asset tag number.
• Remove assets from depreciation and asset lists when they reach end-of-life or are disposed of.
• Conduct periodic asset checks by site to ensure accurate tracking (SMS, domain, and hardware spreadsheet).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
