Inventory Control Specialist I, Full-time, Third Shift

UC Health is hiring a full-time Inventory Control Specialist I for the UC Medical Center.

The Inventory Control Specialist I performs inventory functions, monitors and assesses movement, maintains related records, and prepares related documents.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Three months of experience
  • Ability to perform basic math skills and read/write common vocabulary; at least courses in inventory control covering areas such as inventory control, production and inventory forecasting, materials requirements planning, accounting systems, information systems, management principles, systems theory, and data processing to identify supply needs and develop information systems, or three months equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
  • Perform inventory control functions, including PAR level management, contract compliance, procurement reliability, and timely distribution of supplies, including managing about-to-expire and expired products.
  • Track inventory, rotate products using FIFO, replenish supplies, and communicate back orders or changes to the department manager and relevant personnel.
  • Prepare documents, maintain records, requisitions, and reports for supplies, and create/manage related files.
  • Perform other inventory and miscellaneous duties as directed by the manager.
