Job summary

Medline Industries, LP in Romulus, MI is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to ensure inventory accuracy in a busy distribution center. You will plan, schedule, and conduct cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies in SAP and Catalyst, and adjust financial records accordingly.

You will train team members, manage error queues, investigate service failures, communicate across operations, and operate MHE as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years inventory experience in a warehouse/distribution center or similar facility.
• Experience with SAP & Catalyst; proficient with Microsoft Office; ability to direct, implement changes, and adapt to changing business; strong analytical/problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and conduct cycle counts/workload.
• Train and mentor facility team on inventory processes and procedures; course correct where applicable.
• Review Material Movement Exception Report and Goods Over Receipt Report; reconcile discrepancies; perform adjustments in Catalyst and/or SAP.
• Manage all errors queues (ZPOGI, Z272, Workflow and ZINV).
• Research problem tickets and resolve; monitor completeness and accuracy of inventory transactions.
• Investigate service failures/OSI; create RGAs and adjust in Catalyst/SAP to correct inventory.
• Communicate with warehouse operations, A/P, product divisions, inventory management, item master data, customer service, and internal audit to resolve discrepancies.
• Operate MHE as necessary.
