Job summary

Formica, a leading designer and manufacturer of decorative surfacing materials, seeks an Inventory Control Specialist for our Mt. Comfort, IN facility.

You will manage inbound/outbound inventory, conduct cycle counts, review discrepancies, and develop improvement plans to boost accuracy and reduce costs. Responsibilities include overseeing material moves from receiving to shipping, collaborating with management and IT on reporting, and helping implement training programs and SOP enhancements.

Qualifications

• BS in Business or equivalent experience.
• Several years of progressing responsibility in a warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of production planning and execution methodologies is a plus.
• Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus.
• Capable of working extended and off-shift hours; some travel (5%) including international.

Responsibilities

• Manage cycle counts and inbound/outbound inventory accuracy.
• Review inventory discrepancies and develop improvement plans.
• Oversee material moves from receiving through shipping and related system moves.
• Improve warehouse reporting with management and IT collaboration.
• Develop training programs for warehouse teams and review SOPs to meet organizational needs.
• Assist with analyzing claims and offering reduction recommendations.
