Job summary

Builders FirstSource in Woodland, WA is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to ensure accurate inventory records and support efficient warehouse operations at the Woodland Yard. The role emphasizes cycle counts, variance investigations, and reliable data entry in our systems.

You will create and maintain SKU numbers, generate reports on trends and stock levels, and collaborate with teams to improve accuracy while following safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of inventory control or related field experience.
• Experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory accuracy by monitoring transactions, quantities, and costs in inventory systems.
• Compile and analyze inventory information from shipping, receiving documents, requisitions, contracts, and reports.
• Perform scheduled cycle counts and audits, comparing physical inventory to system records.
• Investigate and resolve inventory variances through verification and research.
• Process inventory adjustments and corrections to maintain accuracy.
• Create, assign, and maintain SKU numbers according to standards.
• Manage and update SKU master files with additions, modifications, deletions.
• Generate and review inventory reports to identify trends and stock concerns.
• Monitor inventory performance metrics and report findings to management.
• Collaborate with operations to improve accuracy and support control initiatives.
• Adhere to safety policies; participate in safety meetings and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
