Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Inventory Control & Planning Coordinator to ensure inventory accuracy and readiness for daily production. The role leads cycle counts, investigates variances, and supports planning activities including running planner workbenches, firming jobs, and releasing work to the shop floor.

It requires hands-on ERP use, forklift operation, and cross-functional collaboration. The position emphasizes accurate inventory, disciplined ERP transactions, and timely shop-floor execution,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in manufacturing, material handling, inventory control, production support, or a related environment.
• Basic math skills and accurate part counting.
• Ability to learn ERP workbenches, reports, and transaction processes.
• Ability to read part numbers and basic production information.
• Ability to operate forklift and RF scanning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily ERP-generated cycle counts for raw materials, WIP, purchased components, and finished goods.
• Verify stock locations, count physically, and record results in ERP.
• Investigate variances and escalate discrepancies as needed.
• Support planning tasks: run planner workbenches, firm planned jobs, release work to shop floor, prepare job packets.
• Maintain safety, ERP procedures, and organized work area.
• Collaborate with Planning, Purchasing, Operations, Accounting, Engineering, and Material Handling to resolve issues.
