Job summary

ChampionX in Odessa, TX is seeking an Inventory Control Operator to manage ESP equipment inventory, perform ERP transactions, and ensure accuracy across cycles and audits.

You will coordinate inbound/outbound moves, track serialized assets, support manufacturing and service schedules, and contribute to continuous improvements while complying with safety policies. This role features 11 days on/3 days off, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in inventory control, warehouse, materials management, or supply chain.
• Ability to drive a forklift.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask through multiple computer programs.
• Strong proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications; experience with SAP is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly motivated with a positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve shipping and inventory issues.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with colleagues across departments to achieve shared goals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records for ESP equipment, including pumps, motors, protectors, variable speed drives, and cable.
• Perform daily inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments, and returns in the ERP system.
• Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, variances, and transaction errors.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
• Verify material availability to support manufacturing, assembly, repair, field service, and customer delivery schedules.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound material movements between warehouses, repair facilities, service centers, and field locations.
• Track serialized equipment and maintain asset traceability throughout the inventory lifecycle.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of ESP components to prevent damage and maintain quality standards.
• Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams regarding material requirements, shortages, and inventory optimization opportunities.
• Prepare inventory reports, performance metrics, and status updates for management.
• Support year-end inventory accounts and financial audits.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, quality management systems, and HSE requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
