Job summary

Imperial Brady is seeking an Inventory Manager to lead inventory control activities, supervise a team of Inventory Control Associates, and ensure accuracy across facilities. The role involves cycle counts, process improvements, and close collaboration with Sales, Purchasing, Finance, and HQ.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in inventory control in distribution settings, supervisory experience, and proficiency with WMS and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct inventory control experience in distribution operations.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with warehouse equipment.
• Experience with warehouse management systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• High school diploma or GED equivalency.
• Experience implementing process improvements in an operational environment.
• Experience in a changing/growing organization.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Solid analytical skills including systematic root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Set cycle counts of inventory, research, and clears any discrepancies.
• Plan layouts of the warehouse and other storage areas, considering turnover and item characteristics.
• Trace the history of items to determine discrepancy causes and remedial actions.
• Supervise employees, assign duties, and manage labor hours and payroll.
• Advise on care and preservation of items and handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock.
• Recommend process improvements to improve inventory accuracy and productivity.
• Review daily reports to ensure inventory accuracy and progress toward performance goals.
• Review records for accuracy and compliance; provide information to customers.
• Prepare work schedules for special projects and periodic inventories.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with departments and HQ; support Sales Management and Procurement.
