Job summary

The Remas Company is seeking an Inventory Control Manager for 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 5:00 pm - 3:00 am) to lead the inventory team. You will monitor trends, analyze issues and train staff to meet company goals, while ensuring accurate inventory records and procedures are followed.

You will collaborate with management and customer representatives, drive process improvements, and oversee scheduling to maximize productive hours.

Qualifications

  • 4 years of inventory control experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with computerized scanner equipment.
  • Flexible schedule including overtime, which may include weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Inventory Control team and enforce company policies.
  • Maintain the integrity of inventory records following established procedures.
  • Research complex transaction histories to reconcile discrepancies.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of management and customer representatives.
  • Provide leadership and training to accomplish company goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate activities for team members to optimize productive working hours.
  • Investigate all facets of facilities operations to troubleshoot processes and implement improvements.

What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Supervise the Inventory Control team members, ensuring company policies are enforced
  • Maintain the integrity of inventory records while following established procedures
  • Research complex transaction histories to reconcile discrepancies
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of management and customer representatives
  • Provide leadership and training to accomplish company goals and objectives
  • Coordinate activities for team members, ensuring effective use of productive working hours
  • Investigate all facets of facilities operations to troubleshoot processes and make/recommended improvements
What you need to succeed:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • 4 years of inventory control experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with computerized scanner equipment
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends

Itd be great if you also have:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • APICS or CSCMP certifications
  • 5 years of inventory control experience including slotting and unit measures
  • 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience
  • Ability to quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software applications
  • Solid time management and multitasking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
  • Self-motivated work style with excellent analytical and math skills
  • Solid attention to detail and follow-up skills with the ability to identify and resolve problems
