Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking a Sr. Specialist, Inventory Material Control to lead a small inventory team at our Marlborough, MA campus.

You will manage on-site not-for-human-use scrap, oversee orders, coordinate material receipt/delivery, and ensure compliant packing, labeling and documentation across locations. You will drive analytics, reporting, and cross-functional communication to optimize inventory flows, support audits, and improve processes while maintaining a safe, organized work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in logistics, shipping, distribution or a related field.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and customer focus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated experience interpreting data and developing actionable recommendations.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Source and maintain on-site not-for-human-use (NFHU) scrap product inventory by assessing inventory levels and order needs.
• Manage order intake and review, providing timely, professional and accurate responses to business requestors and translating requests into order fulfillment activities.
• Coordinate the receipt and delivery of materials across assigned locations.
• Collaborate with business requestors on order substitutions and replacements, as applicable.
• Ensure shipments are packaged, labeled and documented in accordance with applicable work instructions, including Global Trade requirements for international shipments.
• Process and maintain receiving documentation to support complete and auditable records.
• Support inventory control activities, including cycle counts and issue resolution.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment in accordance with company policies and quality standards.
