Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Distribution Center/Fulfillment Center leader to oversee daily goods flow, inventory control, and WMS execution. You will ensure safe, efficient operations and drive process improvements across receiving, put-away, picking, and packing in a dynamic food retail environment.

The role requires 2+ years of leadership in distribution and a solid grasp of logistics, with strong analytical and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership in distribution, order fulfillment, or related field.
• Thorough knowledge of logistics and supply chain.
• Good analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
• Intermediate math and computer skills.
• Ability to write brief reports and log documentation.
• Ability to understand complex oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee receiving accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with vendors, scheduling, and customer relations.
• Build relations with category managers and buyers.
• Ensure proper dating procedures and manage shrink.
• Monitor warehouse space and plan for promotions.
• Oversee pack changes, short dates, and pick slot changes.
• Plan for inbound fluctuations and reorganization.
• Ensure DC layout compliance and slot designation by area.
• Coordinate with regional supply chain managers on seasonal plans.
• Oversee/monitor cycle counts and inventory integrity.
• Identify and implement technology and process improvements.
• Monitor error logs and system outputs for WMS performance.
• Supervise and coach direct reports; conduct performance reviews.
