Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking an Receiver / Inventory Control Clerk (ICC) to manage Direct Store Delivery (DSD) processes, ensure accurate receiving and stocking, and partner with store leadership to maintain inventory integrity.

Daily tasks include scanning DSD items, addressing out-of-stock or overstock conditions, and keeping the backroom secure and organized. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience receiving, tracking and reconciling inventory in retail or grocery.
• Basic computer skills including email and Excel.
• Ability to monitor damaged, expired or salvageable merchandise and process returns for credit.
• Maintain cleanliness, security and order in backroom and receiving areas.
• Effective communication with vendors, drivers and store management.
• Ability to lift 5–50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Commitment to accurate inventory and store readiness.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations and ensure accurate receiving and stocking.
• Walk the store to scan DSD items and identify stock issues.
• Collaborate with order writers, night crew and merchandisers.
• Support inventory accuracy and promotional execution with Store Director.
• Monitor donations and manage grocery/non-perishable inventories.
• Maintain a secure, clean backroom environment.
• Communicate regularly to ensure inventory controls.
