Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Control Manager for our client in New Jersey. The role owns inventory integrity across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods, designing processes, controls, training, and metrics to support production and delivery.

You will lead a site-wide program for cycle counts, ERP transaction controls, and scope for continuous improvement, balancing availability with inventory investment while ensuring safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assess current inventory control practices across receiving, put-away, stocking, issuing to production, production reporting, shipping, returns, and scrap.
• Establish and audit ERP inventory controls for receipts, moves, material issues, adjustments, scrap, obsolescence, and physical movement.
• Develop and deliver a tiered Inventory Control Training program and integrate into onboarding and refresher training.
• Lead ABC-based cycle counts for raw materials and finished stock; drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain WIP accuracy and resolve aged/inactive or out-of-balance jobs and close on time.
• Coordinate with Finance to plan annual physical inventories and support month/year-end reporting and audits.
• Collaborate with branch managers on transfer, in-transit, and receipt procedures across locations.
• Partner with Materials, Sales, and Service on stocking strategies and Lean improvements.
• Establish site inventory KPIs and report to leadership; enforce transaction accuracy across departments.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and company policies; perform other duties as assigned.
