The Fresh Market in Mount Pleasant, SC is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to ensure backroom accuracy and inventory integrity across departments.

You will manage beer, wine, and spirits inventory, enforce receiving protocols, and collaborate with managers to keep product freshness and availability.

The role requires 2+ years in retail/hospitality operations, ability to work in cold environments, and a commitment to hospitality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• 1–2 years of experience coordinating teams.
• Ability to work in cold, wet, and physically demanding environments.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with department managers to oversee inbound and outbound deliveries—including documentation, follow-ups, and resolution of open items—while supporting inventory planning, product rotation, and ordering to ensure operational efficiency and product availability.
• Monitor and maintain days-on-hand inventory targets for all departments.
• Maintain accurate beer, wine, and spirits inventory records and compliance with all applicable laws.
• Enforce store receiving protocols, including vendor security and backroom access control.
• Verify all deliveries, truck seals, and electronic invoices, ensuring accurate processing and credit handling.
• Partner with distribution and merchandising teams to resolve invoice, quantity, and quality discrepancies.
• Serve as the primary contact for the Maintenance Dispatch Center to enter and track equipment repairs through resolution.
• Provide courteous, helpful interactions with vendors, team members, and guests as needed.
