Job summary

Stored Energy Systems (SENS) in Longmont, CO is seeking an Inventory Control Lead to drive accuracy across warehouse and manufacturing inventory locations. You will own cycle-counts, audits, and discrepancy investigations, partnering with Finance, Purchasing, Planning, and Production to ensure reliable inventory data.

This role emphasizes documenting procedures, leading root-cause analysis, coordinating corrective actions, and maintaining controls to prevent recurring issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Progressive experience in inventory control, warehouse, manufacturing, material handling, supply chain, or related operations.
• Strong working knowledge of inventory-control principles, cycle counting, physical inventories, inventory reconciliation, material movement, and ERP transactions.
• Experience with ERP/MRP and/or warehouse management systems, including reviewing transaction history, identifying inventory errors, and supporting reconciliation.
• Strong experience with MS Office, Excel, and data-analysis skills, with demonstrated ability to reconcile and interpret inventory information.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with structured root-cause analysis and corrective-action methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Own inventory accuracy and inventory-control processes across warehouse and applicable manufacturing inventory locations; develop, document, maintain, and improve procedures and work instructions.
• Develop, administer, and monitor the cycle-count program, including ABC analysis, counts, reconciliation, and follow-up.
• Coordinate and lead physical inventories and audits, including procedures, assignments, reconciliation, and verification.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies through verification of labels, locations, history, ERP activity, and other inventory data; perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Review ERP transactions for accuracy and completeness; coordinate corrections and system adjustments with approval and controls.
• Serve as primary Warehouse & Logistics resource for Finance on inventory matters; support month/quarter/year-end reconciliations.
• Own Excess & Obsolete inventory review, partner with Purchasing on aging material and discrepancies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Material Handling, Production, Planning, Purchasing, Finance, Quality to execute inventory-control activities.
• Identify recurring issues and implement corrective, preventive, and continuous-improvement actions.
• Train and guide staff on cycle-count procedures and inventory-control standard work.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate inventory-control reporting and metrics; share findings with leadership.
