Job summary

Metropolitan Warehouse in Houston, TX, is seeking an Inventory Manager to oversee overall inventory accuracy, control, and reconciliation across multiple client SKUs, locations, and segments. You will drive cycle counts, WMS integrity, and returns/disposition workflows, acting as a key liaison with client representatives to ensure compliant SOPs and timely issue resolution.

In this role you will lead the inventory team, coordinate with receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and Returns teams,

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of inventory control, warehouse, or 3PL experience.
• Experience managing inventory in high-volume distribution.
• Experience with cycle counting and discrepancy investigations.
• Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Experience with returns/Reverse Logistics operations.
• Strong Excel/data analysis skills.
• Ability to manage multiple clients with different SOPs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory accuracy for all clients and locations.
• Lead cycle counts and investigate discrepancies to root causes.
• Coordinate physical inventories and client inventories annually.
• Administer WMS transactions and ensure system controls.
• Manage returns processing and disposition per client rules.
• Provide inventory reports and KPI analyses to clients.
• Collaborate with client reps to meet SOPs and performance targets.
