Job summary

Vistar is seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator to monitor and maintain inventory accuracy across distribution operations. You will compile records of material quantities and values, and ensure adherence to quality standards.

The role involves counting stock, reconciling discrepancies, and preparing inventory reports, with lifting requirements and multi-temperature environment exposure. A high school diploma and 1+ year warehousing experience are expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of inventory experience in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to communicate information accurately and apply strong math skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and intermediate general computer skills.
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to lift 10-35 pounds and up to 60-90 pounds depending on location.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Counts material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and posts inventory records.
• Compares inventories to office records or figures from records.
• Verifies computations against physical counts and investigates discrepancies.
• Compiles receipts or disbursements of materials and supplies.
• Monitors inventory rotations and makes recommendations as needed.
• Prepares reports such as inventory balances and weekly cycle counts.
• Reviews and investigates daily reports and maintains shrink at company standard.
• Prepares list of depleted items and surveys defective/unusable items.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
