Job summary

Clear Destination Inc. is seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator to analyze material and production consumption, and manage raw materials, WIP, and finished goods. The role supports scheduling and resolution of discrepancies to optimize inventory accuracy and cost.

You will develop reports and monitor metrics across multiple sites. Responsibilities include cycle counts, audits, and coordinating with Purchasing and Scheduling to ensure material availability and timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an inventory control role.
• 5 years working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze detailed inventory plans for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to meet production and customer demands.
• Provide logistical and inventory support and resolve containment, discrepancy, priorities, and expedites.
• Develop, implement and monitor inventory transaction processes for accuracy and timeliness across operations.
• Monitor internal and external material movement for accuracy and cost effectiveness.
• Develop and supply strategic reporting to Operations management including quarterly summaries, monthly trends, and weekly analyses.
• Lead cycle count programs in a perpetual inventory environment across locations.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies to identify root causes and propose solutions.
• Support site training and team development around inventory movements.
• Coordinate and communicate with supporting departments to execute plans and deliverables.
• Maintain department metrics for inventory accuracy.
• Lead inventory audits with internal and external auditors.
• Manage aged inventory and forecast vs. shipments and various stock programs.

Job description

The Inventory Control Coordinator performs analysis of material and production consumption as well as internal and external inventory levels and storage locations. Manages the inventory plans of raw materials, WIP and finished goods. Performs scheduling support and assistance.

What You'll Do

• Perform detailed analysis of inventory plans of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to meet production and customer demands. Evaluates and makes recommendations to Management.
• Provide logistical and inventory support and assists in resolving issues pertaining to containment, count discrepancies, priorities, expedites, and other necessary support activities.
• Develop, implement and monitor all key functions related to inventory transactions to ensure that they are accurate and timely from and to all external and/or internal operations
• Monitor internal and external material movement for accuracy and cost effectiveness as directed by the Manufacturing & Production Manager
• Develop and supply strategic reporting to the Operations management team including quarterly summaries, monthly trends, week over week analysis and daily reporting
• Develop trend reporting on top offenders in all functions of the warehouse for inventory inaccuracies to help operations leadership in seek to understand conversations
• Innovate and maintain cycle count programs in a perpetual inventory environment for all building locations.
• Perform thorough research and document inventory discrepancies to identify root causes and supply possible solutions to increase accuracy and efficiency
• Develop and drive departmental and organizational goals through data analysis with the ability to speak to multiple levels of the business
• Take a high level of ownership in regards to site training and team development based around inventory, to help mitigate inventory issues on campus
• Help develop all leadership on site to ensure they understand inventory movements external into the building and internal to the Horizon Scientific campus operations.
• Additional responsibilities include trend analysis, RCA, Cycle Count Management/Reporting, and corrective actions
• Daily reporting on variance trends on site including top offenders by username per function, top warehouses/bins with discrepancies, top zones with errors, and any additional root cause investigations
• Quarterly, Monthly, and weekly summaries of inventory adjustments including true write offs, variance bucket trending and monetary value trends
• Lead all inventory audits on site with external and internal auditors
• Manage Aged Inventory
• Evaluate future production forecast versus shipments, safety stock, supplier/customer stock programs, slow move/aged inventory, vendor managed inventory, and consignment inventory.
• Assist Purchasing and Scheduling in the planning and coordinating of material availability.
• Coordinate and manage inventory control activities, including periodic cycle counts, month/year end processes including physical inventory as required.
• Communicate and participate with supporting departments to execute plans and deliverables.
• Monitor and maintain Department metrics for inventory accuracy.

Participate in assignments for job reviews, production standards, and bill of material

consumption parameters.
