Job summary

US Modules is seeking an Inventory Control professional to ensure accuracy and timeliness of material records within a manufacturing environment. You will perform regular cycle counts, verify data in ERP, and drive investigations into discrepancies.

The role requires hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems, strong Excel skills, and the ability to coordinate with receiving, warehouse, production, and shipping.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of inventory control, cycle counting, or materials management in manufacturing.
  • Experience using ERP, MRP, or warehouse management systems.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify root causes of inventory discrepancies.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cycle counts of raw materials, WIP, finished goods, consumables, and spare parts.
  • Verify quantities, locations, lot and serial numbers, and material status.
  • Reconcile physical counts with ERP records and investigate variances.
  • Prepare inventory adjustments with approvals and documentation.
  • Monitor inventory transactions and coordinate movement between departments.
  • Support audits and ensure traceability for solar module materials.

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Inventory Accuracy & Cycle Counting
  • Perform scheduled daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts of raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), finished goods, consumables, and spare parts.
  • Verify inventory quantities, locations, lot numbers, serial numbers, and material status.
  • Reconcile physical inventory counts with ERP system records.
  • Research and investigate inventory variances, shortages, overages, and transaction discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process inventory adjustments with proper documentation and approvals.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy targets and support continuous improvement efforts.
Inventory Coordination
  • Monitor inventory transactions including receipts, transfers, issues, returns, and adjustments.
  • Coordinate material movement between receiving, warehouse, production, and shipping departments.
  • Ensure proper inventory storage, labeling, and location management.
  • Assist with material staging and replenishment activities to support production schedules.
  • Support warehouse organization and inventory housekeeping standards.
Inventory Audits & Compliance
  • Assist with physical inventory counts and annual inventory audits.
  • Maintain inventory records in accordance with company policies and audit requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with traceability requirements for solar module manufacturing materials.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing inventory documentation and reports.
  • Identify and report process gaps that impact inventory accuracy.
Reporting & Analysis
  • Generate inventory reports and cycle count metrics.
  • Analyze inventory trends and recurring discrepancies.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements to reduce inventory variances.
  • Track inventory accuracy KPIs and communicate findings to management.
  • Assist with inventory forecasting and material planning activities as needed.
Continuous Improvement
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing and inventory control improvement initiatives.
  • Recommend improvements to inventory processes, warehouse layouts, and material flow.
  • Support implementation of inventory management best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist in training employees on inventory control processes and transaction accuracy.
Qualifications
Required
  • Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of inventory control, cycle counting, warehouse, or materials management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience using ERP, MRP, or warehouse management systems.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify root causes of inventory discrepancies. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in solar, electronics, automotive, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing environments.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Experience with barcode scanning systems and inventory tracking technology.
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles including FIFO, cycle counting, and material traceability.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the manufacturing facility.
  • Frequently lift, move, and carry materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, and climb ladders as required.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, handheld scanners, and computer systems.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing and warehouse setting with exposure to moving equipment, forklifts, and material handling operations.
  • Requires regular interaction with production, warehouse, quality, and supply chain personnel.
  • May require occasional overtime, weekends, or support during physical inventory events.
