Job summary

Monroechamber in Springfield, MO is seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator to ensure accurate materials flow and support production schedules. You will work across Supply Chain, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Quality to maintain inventory accuracy and timely material availability.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year of inventory control, warehouse administration, or inventory management experience.
  • Experience with inventory software, ERP systems, or database management preferred.
  • Purchasing or materials planning experience is a plus.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to perform accurate data entry and maintain attention to detail.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Safety and quality system awareness training preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process purchase orders into the inventory management system following material receipt verification.
  • Schedule outbound freight and coordinate shipments with carriers.
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify Purchasing of verified stock shortages.
  • Review and process custom BOMs for engineering approval.
  • Enter inventory transactions, including parts issued, transfers, and inventory adjustments.
  • Perform routine cycle counts and investigate inventory variances.
  • Prepare shop packets and picking lists for production and warehouse personnel.
  • Close completed shop packets and maintain database accuracy.
  • Research and resolve inventory quantity discrepancies with Manufacturing and Quality teams.
  • Prepare monthly inventory performance reports, including cycle count and picking accuracy metrics.
  • Assist Material Handlers with picking, kitting, and staging materials as business needs require.
  • Participate in annual physical inventory counts and reconciliation activities.
  • Support sourcing and purchasing efforts for production materials and inventory replenishment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure compliance with company procedures.

Position Title: Inventory Control Coordinator Wage: $43,680.00/year Shift: 1st Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday, OT as needed

  • Frequently lift and move items up to 20 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Occasional local travel may be required to pick up or deliver materials
