Job summary

Jobtailor in Odessa, TX is seeking a Warehouse Associate to move, stage and ship materials efficiently. You will load/unload, count, label, and document shipments while coordinating with trucking partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years’ experience in receiving, materials, warehousing or related areas.
• Experience in freight traffic coordination and material transportation planning.
• Experience in verifying orders by reviewing shipping documents such as bills of lading, packing slips, delivery notes, purchase orders.
• Knowledge of SAP or Microsoft Office is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Material movement including loading and unloading trucks and moving material from location to location by carrying, pushing, rolling or operating hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors or other material handling equipment.
• Prepares outbound shipment of materials including staging, packaging, labeling, counting, and document preparation.
• Arranges for trucking and communicates with other stakeholders in the shipping process.
• Will work under the general direction of the site Logistics Coordinator.
• Take complete responsibility for preparation of shipments by staging, counting, documenting, and packaging materials for safe transport.
• Process paperwork and arrange for transport through 3rd party provider.
• Communicate shipments status and other information to necessary FMC personnel.
• Distribute received shipments by delivering materials to requestor.
• Process paperwork.
• Assists in customer audits and cycle counts to support inventory control activities.
• Use basic computer knowledge to research equipment in SAP and iMan.
