Scholastic in Missouri is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk II to manage warehouse inventory, ensure accuracy, and support timely fulfillment of customer requirements.

You will evaluate incoming inventory in the WMS, process internal requests, and position stock to meet service standards while following safety protocols. The role requires working in a non-climate-controlled environment year-round and may involve overtime and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

Job Description:

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Inventory Control Clerk II manages warehouse inventory to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely fulfillment of customer requirements.

Essential Functions:

• Accurately evaluate and record incoming inventory in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Review and process inventory requests from operational departments.
• Position inventory to meet service standards.
• Research and resolve non-standard inventory issues.
• Safely operate warehouse tools and equipment, including box knives, tape guns, RF scanners, handheld devices, conveyors, tapers, labelers, palletizers, and bailers.
• Follow safety protocols when working around moving equipment and conveyors.
• Stand and walk on concrete floors for extended periods.
• Read and interpret order forms and communicate effectively with team members.
• Work in a non-climate-controlled environment year-round.
• Execute IWS requests for cartons and products and verify inventory based on system-generated requests.
• Investigate and correct carton/tote errors caused by system no-reads and similar issues using IWS and AS400.
• Conduct system research and updates using mobile workstations and hand/wrist scanners.
• Prepare products and transfer inventory from AMR totes to cartons for warehouse storage.

Other Responsibilities:

• Provide backup support for receiving operations as needed.
• Sort, move, and load materials/finished goods using manual and material-handling equipment.
• Work in various operational areas based on business needs.
• Comply with facility schedules, including overtime and weekend shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Refer to Physical Demand Analysis (PDA) for complete requirements.

Qualifications:
