Job summary

Scholastic is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk II in Missouri to manage warehouse inventory, ensure accuracy, and fulfill customer requirements. You will record incoming inventory, process requests, and position stock to meet service standards.

The role involves using WMS/AS400, RF scanners, and standard safety practices in a non-climate-controlled environment. This is a full-time, temporary seasonal position with potential flexibility based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in systematic inventory management preferred.
• Proficiency in department computer systems including AS400 and Microsoft Office.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Accurately record incoming inventory in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Process inventory requests from operational departments.
• Position inventory to meet service standards and safety requirements.
• Research and resolve non-standard inventory issues.
• Operate warehouse tools and equipment (RF scanners, handheld devices, labelers, and conveyors).
• Follow safety protocols around moving equipment and conveyors.
• Read and interpret order forms and communicate with team members.
• Perform duties in a non-climate-controlled environment year-round.
• Execute IWS requests and verify inventory in the system.
• Investigate carton/tote errors using IWS and AS400.
• Conduct system research using mobile workstations and scanners.
• Prepare products and transfer inventory for storage.
