Job summary

Associated Wholesale Grocers is seeking a warehouse associate to support distribution through quantities verification, expiration checks, and slotting strategy updates. The role requires handling damaged, donated, and reclaimed items while maintaining safety and teamwork.

You will use Power BI for item ship-date recording, operate warehouse equipment, and collaborate with the buying team to optimize stock and profitability. Strong English communication and physical readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; prior warehouse experience plus warehouse mobile equipment operating experience preferred.
• Conscientiousness, detail oriented, safety minded, self motivated to achieve, high initiative, ability to work with limited supervision, team oriented, learning and applying information, ability to follow instructions in English.
• Ability to read and speak fluent English; basic math and algebra skills required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Power Bi to record the ship date on pre booked items to ensure we have the right items slotted .
• Operate MHE.
• Work as a member of the AWG team so the total job responsibilities are met. Actions must always stress a sense of cooperation, integrity, tact and consideration with our members, associates and division management.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and speak fluent English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence relating to position.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and apply concepts of basic math and algebra.

Temperatures will vary based on outside temperatures for the non-air-conditioned section and cool temperatures ranging from -15 to the upper 40's for the perishable sections.
