Samson Rope is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk to maintain accuracy of raw materials, finished goods, packaging, and hardware across multiple warehouses. You will perform cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and record adjustments in the ERP system.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in warehousing with ERP experience (Syspro preferred) and a strong eye for detail. Safety, teamwork, and timely reporting are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience in a warehouse environment, with some responsibility in inventory control.
• Proficient in ERP systems (Syspro preferred).
• Able to read policies, guidelines, and safety standards to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries and account for inventory issues, returns, and documentation; verify against packing lists and resolve shipment problems.
• Trace item history from cycle counts and recommend remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
• Perform inventory adjustments in the ERP system to maintain accuracy; input data reliably.
• Count and reconcile items daily using the established cycle count procedure.
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and on time.
• Prepare Cycle Count reports and monthly inventory analysis.

Samson, the worldwide leader in high performance cordage, is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk who will be responsible for assuring the accuracy of raw material, finished goods, packaging and hardware inventory housed in multiple warehouses. The Inventory Control Clerk will conduct regular cycle counts and works closely with warehouse management to research and reconcile discrepancies to maintain inventory integrity. They will also provide recommendations to management on improvement to inventory practices based on data trends from cycle counts and resolve shipping discrepancies and include management when needed. The Inventory Control Clerk is expected to practice a high level of business ethics, professionalism, safety, and quality in all activities in accordance with Samson strategy and core values.

Who You Are:

• An experienced user of ERP software (Syspro preferred).
• Able to understand and read written policies and guidelines, specifications, and safety standards to ensure compliance to warehouse and inventory processes and procedures.
• Familiar with modern warehousing practices and methods.
• A clear and concise communicator in both written and oral form.
• A team player who works well with a diverse group of individuals and can build relationships with coworkers.
• Safety conscious with the ability to continuously be aware of your surroundings given the nature of work driving forklifts.
• A proficient computer user with basic skills in Microsoft Office with the ability to effectively write routine reports, correspondence, and analyze data.
• Able to manage time effectively by prioritizing/managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment with strict deadlines.
• Comfortable lifting 10-25 pounds frequently, 25-50 pounds occasionally, and seldomly lift 50-60.

What You'll Do:

• Utilize computer terminal to receive deliveries and to properly account for inventory issues, returns, and documentation. This includes checking delivery content against packing lists, ensuring proper receiving processes are followed and problems are resolved with shipments, and stocking and transferring deliveries accordingly.
• Trace history of items based on cycle counts to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommend remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
• Perform inventory adjustments within the ERP system to maintain inventory accuracy. Accurately input inventory control data to ensure inventory integrity.
• Use the established cycle count procedure to count and reconcile randomly chosen or chosen part numbers and/or locations daily.
• Complete necessary documentation thoroughly, accurately, and on-time.
• Prepare Cycle Count reporting documents and monthly report on inventory analysis.

• Required: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience:

• Required: Three (3) years of experience in a warehouse environment, with some responsibility in inventory control.

Compensation:

Targeted hiring range: $23.50 - $25.50/hour

Hiring rate will depend on qualifications and experience.

Samson has established wage scales for all of our positions, which are based on a minimum and maximum. The targeted hiring rate above is set to allow for employee’s growth within the role. The full range for this position is min: $20.52 - $30.78. Increases within range provided upon skill development and time in position.
