Job summary

Signum LLC in Solon, Ohio is seeking a Manufacturing Inventory Clerk to track stock, support production lines, and ensure materials are organized and accounted for. You will perform cycle counts, verify receipts against PO, and use our ERP system to update records.

This is a full-time, on-site role requiring ability to lift 50 pounds, basic math and computer skills, and a team-oriented attitude. Familiarity with forklift or pallet jack is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory control and cycle counts; reconcile records and report discrepancies.
  • Receive and ship: verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and check for damage; process outbound shipments.
  • Pull and pack components and deliver to production areas.
  • Enter receiving, issuing, and transferring data into the ERP/MRP system.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Keep inventory areas, loading zones, machinery, and workstations clean and organized; ensure proper storage.
  • Update the ERP system as required.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Job description

A Manufacturing Inventory Clerk tracks and reconciles stock, supplies materials to production lines, and ensures raw materials and finished goods are organized, accounted for, and put away in their proper place to prevent production delays.

Essential Functions
  • Inventory Control & Auditing: Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory to reconcile records. Investigate and report any discrepancies.
  • Receiving & Shipping: Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders to ensure accuracy and check for damage. Process outbound shipments and kitted assemblies.
  • Material Handling: Pull and pack components based on work orders and deliver goods to the appropriate manufacturing or assembly areas.
  • Systems Management: Enter receiving, issuing, and transferring data into MRP/ERP systems.
  • Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items.
  • Keeps inventory, loading areas, machinery, and workstations clean and organized. Ensuring all materials are in their proper place.
  • Update the ERP system as required.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • An ability to safely operate equipment and necessary tools
  • Prior experience or certification with material handling equipment (such as a forklift or pallet jack) is highly preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to varying temperatures. The environment is an active plant with continuous noises from equipment inside the plant.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and possible climbing all day. The employee must be able to lift and or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. (Subject to change based on business demands)

No travel is expected for this position.
