Job summary

Steuben Foods is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk to join our team in Elma, NY. You will maintain accurate inventory records for packaging materials and use Protean and barcode systems to track transactions.

You will review reports, coordinate adjustments with the Inventory Control Manager, and collaborate with Receiving and Production to ensure accuracy, while supporting audits and off-site warehouse oversight.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Good math and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with inventory control systems preferred.
• Familiarity with barcode scanning and RFID technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records for customer packaging materials.
• Utilize Protean and barcode scanning systems to track inventory transactions.
• Review inventory reports and investigate discrepancies.
• Communicate inventory adjustments to the Inventory Control Manager.
• Work closely with Receiving and Production teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Assist with customer, internal, and year-end audits.
• Monitor inventory levels at off-site 3PL warehouses.
• Follow all company food safety, quality, and operational procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
