Job summary

Herff Jones is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk for the Arcola, IL area. This role will verify inventory quantities against work orders, prepare and distribute production and inventory-related documentation, and inspect materials for quality and labeling.

Candidate should have 2–3 years of inventory control experience, proficiency in Excel/Outlook, and familiarity with Oracle or ERP systems. HS diploma required; lifting up to 50 lbs may be necessary.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, material control, purchasing, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify inventory quantities against work orders and system records to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare, process, and distribute production and inventory-related documentation to the appropriate departments.
• Inspect materials and finished goods for quality, accuracy, proper labeling, and compliance with company standards.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, shortages, and incorrect production issues; coordinate corrective actions and inventory adjustments as needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory records by processing transactions and updates in the inventory management system.
• Package materials and finished products according to customer specifications and company requirements.
• Coordinate the movement of materials and finished goods between production, warehouse, and shipping departments.
• Support shipping operations by ensuring orders are complete, accurate, and delivered on time.
• Assist with cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory audits.
• Perform additional inventory control and warehouse duties as assigned.
