Job summary

Crate & Barrel is seeking an Inventory Control Associate to support our distribution centers by maintaining accurate inventory levels across departments. This role focuses on documenting stock movements, preparing reports, and ensuring safety and efficiency in daily operations.

The position requires 1+ years in inventory control, experience with power equipment, and familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related experience working with inventory control.
• 1+ years experience operating power equipment.
• Demonstrated strong experience working with inventory control is highly preferred.
• Working experience in Warehouse Management System is preferred.
• English language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Document inventory by recording additions, disbursements, adjustments, losses and removals.
• Prepare inventory reports.
• Maintain inventory operations by following policies and procedures and report changes as needed.
• Ensure shipment and delivery time schedules are maintained.
• Investigate and correct inventory discrepancies.
• Perform periodic review of inventory stock, recording quantity, type, and value of materials on hand.
• Rotates through different departments as needed to meet business demands.
• Participate in ongoing training regarding technology upgrades and new systems.
• Operate equipment safely to prevent damage to merchandise, equipment, or facilities.
• Perform safety checks on lifts and report any damage.
• Perform routine equipment servicing (e.g., charging batteries, fueling, safety checks).
• Execute all tasks assigned by leadership to achieve daily productivity and quality goals.

As a crucial member of our team, the Inventory Control Associate plays a key role in maintaining the operational efficiency of our distribution centers. This role is responsible for overseeing, monitoring and validating inventory levels to ensure accuracy across departments and functions. A day in the life as an Inventory Control Associate...

• Primarily responsible for documenting inventory by recording additions, disbursements, adjustments, losses and removal of items
• Prepares inventory reports
• Maintains inventory operations by following policies and procedures and reports changes as needed
• Ensures shipment and delivery time schedules are maintained
• Investigates and corrects inventory discrepancies
• Performs periodic review of inventory stock, recording quantity, type, and value of materials on hand
• Cleans up and disposes boxes, packing material, and pallets, as well as general housekeeping of facility and specific product line areas
• Rotates through different departments, as necessary, to meet the demands of the business
• Participates in ongoing training regarding technology upgrades and new systems applicable to the position
• Responsible for the safe operation of equipment to ensure no damage to merchandise, equipment, or facilities
• Performs safety checks on lifts, reporting any damage prior to start and end of shift
• Performs all routine equipment servicing including, but not limited to attaching a battery charger, replenishing fuel, and checking for safety of operations
• Performs all job tasks assigned by the leadership staff to achieve and maintain daily productivity and quality goals
