Job description

The WebstaurantStore In Hagerstown, MD is looking for a hands-on, people-first leader to join our team as an Inventory Control Assistant Manager. This is someone who’s ready to dive in, take ownership, and help us build a strong foundation for success in our new facility.

In this role, you’ll assist the Inventory Control Manager in the leading the charge over our IC department, overseeing key functions such as cycle counting, managing replenishment, expediting, product placement, and maximizing cubic efficiency, all while holding others accountable to proper inventory practices. You’ll work side by side with leadership across departments and shifts to make sure processes align with SOPs, issues get solved quickly, and operational goals are met with excellence.

You’ll also play a critical role in building and developing a high-performing inventory control team. You’ll guide your team to spot discrepancies early, solve problems quickly, and ensure accuracy across the entire site. A sharp eye for detail, time management skills, and ability to lead by example will help create a culture rooted in ownership and continuous improvement.

PLEASE NOTE: The 2B Shift will officially begin on November 1, 2026. Candidates who are hired and onboarded may need to rotate through shifts during the training and transition period:

• Training: Shift 1C - Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, for a minimum of 2 weeks.
• Interim Schedule: Shift 2A - Sunday to Wednesday, 7:00 PM–5:30 AM, until the 2B Shift begins.
• Beginning November 1, 2026: Associates assigned to 2B will transition to the 2B Shift schedule.
• Tentatively Beginning December 1, 2026: The 2A Shift will transition to Sunday through Tuesday, 6:00 PM-6:30 AM, and the hourly wage will be adjusted to the corresponding shift rate.
