Job summary

WebstaurantStore in Hagerstown, MD is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician III to keep our ultra-modern warehouse running smoothly amid automation and conveyor systems.

You will coordinate with outside vendors, perform preventive maintenance, track costs, and collaborate with teams to meet daily and monthly goals across shifts 2A and 2B.

Responsibilities

• Repair warehouse equipment such as conveyor belts and forklifts.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for warranty issues or repairs.
• Maintain equipment batteries and perform preventive maintenance per schedule.
• Deliver support to maintenance projects and scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Promote efficiency of the warehouse yard and upkeep of pallets/skids.
• Operate forklifts and floor scrubbers.
• Report forklift issues to leadership to maximize uptime and safety.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following safety protocols.
• Maintain logs of preventative and corrective maintenance in internal systems.
• Make recommendations for repair, rebuild, and replacement of key components.
• Meet performance standards for efficiency, accuracy, and quality.
• Work with team and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
• Abide by company and warehouse policies and be flexible to rotate through shifts.

From conveyor systems and forklifts to racking and more, you’ll be in the heart of the action—making sure everything works, flows, and stays safe.

You’ll coordinate with outside vendors, tackle repairs, handle preventative maintenance, and help us keep the warehouse in top shape. We’ll count on you to keep leadership in the loop about equipment status and help us stay on budget by tracking maintenance costs like a pro.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the repair of warehouse equipment, such conveyor belts and forklifts, as well as the periodic movement, upkeep, and replacement of racking
• Communicate with outside vendors regarding warranty issues or necessary repairs that fall outside the certification level of the technician
• Ensure that all equipment batteries are watered and maintained per manufacturer recommended maintenance intervals
• Deliver support to a variety of maintenance projects, operational improvements, and scheduled preventative maintenance on assets and equipment
• Promote the efficiency of the warehouse yard, including the upkeep and disposal of pallets / skids
• Operate various pieces of equipment, including forklifts and floor scrubbers
• Report any forklift issues to leadership promptly to ensure issue resolution, maximize uptime, and ensure a safe work environment
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, abiding by all safety protocol such as LOTO, wearing PPE etc.
• Maintain a log of all preventative and corrective maintenance using our internal systems
• Make recommendations for repair, rebuild, and replace of key components and equipment as needed
• Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy and quality of work
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership.
• Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
• Abide by all company and warehouse policies
• Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation

PLEASE NOTE: We are hiring for both the 2A and 2B Shifts.

• 2A Shift: Currently Sunday through Wednesday, 7:00 PM–5:30 AM. This schedule will remain in place through November 30, 2026.
• 2B Shift: The 2B Shift will officially begin November 1, 2026. Candidates hired for 2B before November 1 will initially work the current 2A schedule of Sunday to Wednesday, 7:00 PM–5:30 AM during the transition period.
• Beginning December 1, 2026: Both the 2A and 2B Shifts will transition to 3-day, 12-hour schedules (3/12s). Associates will be assigned to their respective shift schedules at that time.
• Training: Candidates may need to rotate through shifts during the training and transition period.
