Job summary

Guardian Fleet Services Inc. is seeking a Parts Inventory Clerk to manage and organize all parts and supplies in the inventory system. The role ensures accurate stock levels, timely ordering, and efficient distribution to technicians.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and clear communication matter. Responsibilities include cycle counts, receiving shipments, labeling, and updating records in the software system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in inventory, warehouse, automotive, or parts preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with inventory management software is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Good communication with technicians, vendors, and management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory counts through cycle counts and audits.
• Receive, inspect, and log incoming parts shipments.
• Organize and label parts for easy retrieval.
• Issue parts to technicians and record usage.
• Monitor stock levels and notify when reordering is needed.
• Track back-orders, returns, and warranty parts.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the parts room.
• Update inventory records in the software system.
• Assist with vendor communication, pricing updates, and purchase orders.
• Prepare parts for outgoing shipments.
• Support other departments with parts inquiries.

This role ensures accurate stock levels, timely ordering, and efficient distribution of parts to technicians or departments. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment where accuracy and communication matter.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory counts through regular cycle counts and full inventory audits
• Receive, inspect, and log incoming parts shipments
• Organize and label parts in designated storage areas for easy retrieval
• Issue parts to technicians and record usage in the inventory system
• Monitor stock levels and notify management when reordering is needed
• Track back-orders, returns, and warranty parts
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the parts room or warehouse
• Update inventory records in the company’s software system
• Assist with vendor communication, pricing updates, and purchase orders
• Prepare parts for outgoing shipments when required
• Support other departments with parts‑related inquiries

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, and move parts or boxes up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift
• Ability to climb ladders or step stools to access shelving
• Regular use of hands and arms for sorting, labeling, and organizing parts
• Comfortable working in a warehouse or parts‑room environment, which may involve varying temperatures
