Qualifications

• Use hand tools and basic mechanical skills to assist with general labor tasks related to inventory and material handling.
• Work effectively in a busy, fast-paced production shop while maintaining organization and attention to detail.
• Adhere to all safety policies, including the proper use of required personal protective equipment.
• Consistently work extended hours, typically 11-hour shifts, 5 to 6 days per week, as scheduled on the day shift.

This role supports a large manufacturing facility that produces custom-engineered electrical equipment for the energy, industrial, and critical infrastructure sectors. The Inventory Clerk tracks and scans barcodes on products being shipped and exported, and logs this data into Excel-based tracking documents to maintain accurate inventory records. The position involves hands-on material handling in a fast-paced warehouse and production environment on a day shift schedule.

Essential Skills

• Basic experience with inventory, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and cycle counts.
• Experience using material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or sit-down forklifts (where licensed and applicable).

Work Environment

The role is based in a large, approximately 600,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Pasadena, Texas. The building is new, very clean, and well-organized, with a layout that supports general assemblers, electrical assemblers, and warehouse operations. The facility is nonclimate controlled, with open bay doors and numerous fans to improve airflow, and work often occurs in warm to hot conditions. Day shift hours are typically Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with employees usually working about 11 hours per day, 5 to 6 days per week. The dress code includes steel-toe footwear, jeans, a work shirt, and safety glasses, and employees must follow all safety protocols appropriate for a large industrial manufacturing environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pasadena, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
