Job summary

Guhring USA is seeking an Inventory Clerk to support the shipping department in Milwaukee. You will receive PO items, process returns, conduct cycle counts, and ensure accurate inventory placement across locations.

Responsibilities include packing and shipping customer orders, labeling, weighing with UPS tools, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. Prior warehousing experience and SAP knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of general packaging, warehousing or material handling experience.
• Two years warehousing in a manufacturing environment with inventory control experience.
• Knowledge of SAP and cycle counting duties.
• Able to read written instructions and verify quantities.

• Unpack, verify, and receive in items from vendor purchase orders.
• Unpack, verify, and process customer returns in a timely manner.
• Receive in all other vendor purchase orders.
• Perform inventory control duties including stock checks, cycle counts, transferring material to appropriate departments, and related system transactions.
• Pull, pack and ship customer orders for Standard Tool catalog items.
• Package and label "Specials" tool orders, verify quantity and shipping information, band and transfer to packing line.
• Unpack weekly stock transport shipments as needed.
• Verify counts and place incoming inventory items in proper storage locations.
• Operate UPS shipping computer and scale to weigh and label sealed packages.
• Place all outgoing packages into proper shipping container for pickup by carrier.
• Daily cleaning of work area to maintain clean, orderly and safe working conditions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Summary of Position The primary function of the

Inventory Clerk is to perform administrative functions of the shipping

department, including receiving in purchase orders, stock transfers, and

customer return goods, as well as inventory control duties. This

position will also be involved in the order selection of Standard tool

orders and the inventory verification and placement of incoming stock

into proper locations. Principal Responsibilities The responsibilities

of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Unpack,

Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Skills/experience Required:

One Year General Packaging, Warehousing Or Material Handling Preferred

Two years warehousing in a manufacturing environment with inventory

control experience. Knowledge of SAP and cycle counting duties. Must be

able to read and understand written instruction Must have appropriate

math skills to verify quantities Must have basic computer skills with

ability to enter inventory data, generate labels, locate stock locations

and enter inventory amounts for incoming stock. Must be able to type and

spell accurately to enter detailed inventory information and verify

accuracy. Must be able to understand a variety of written instructions

and interpret unique directives for specific customers and situations.

Must be able to count and verify accuracy of large quantity orders. Must

be able to make independent judgements regarding appropriate packaging

materials. Must be able to multi task daily Continuous standing and

walking in warehouse environment. Frequent use of arms and hands to

lift, carry, reach, place, pull containers weighing up to 60 pounds.

Frequent bending and stretching to place or remove items from storage

shelves and to obtain necessary supplies. Above average hand-eye

coordination to package and label product, form and close shipping
