Job summary

Alphia is seeking an Inventory Control professional to manage cycle counts, aging inventories, and disposal of obsolete packaging. You will prepare accurate documentation and support manufacturing with disposition of customer materials, locating materials, and timely inventory transactions.

The role requires a High School Diploma and experience in supply chain, with strong Microsoft Office skills and basic math.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Two years prior experience in supply chain preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications is required.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages).

Responsibilities

• Inventory responsibility and cycle counting in accordance with schedule.
• Audit inventory in all locations per cycle count schedule and assist questions.
• Lead year-end physical inventory and other inventories as needed.
• Monitor disposition for aging/expiration items and coordinate customer dispositions.
• Coordinate inventory-related requests and follow-up as required.

JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for all aspects of inventory control such as cycle counting, aging inventories, and obsolete packaging disposal. Prepare and complete accurate, timely documentation and transactions that follow established protocols for inventory control. Support all manufacturing activities as requested including disposition of customer materials and locating materials.

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Inventory responsibility

Generate cycle counts in accordance with the schedule.

• Audit inventory in all locations per the cycle count schedule.
• Assist with all inventory questions and concerns.
• Lead year-end physical inventory and other special inventories throughout the year.

Monitor and assist with follow up disposition for aging/expiration items. Responsible for all the coordination for customer requested disposition items and any other related inventory requests.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma Required.
• Two years prior experience in supply chain preferred.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications is required.
• Basic math skills i.e., addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages.

• Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills, time management, and problem-solving skills are desired.
• Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Forklift experience preferred.
