Job summary

Dealmed is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Buyer to manage day-to-day purchasing for distributed product lines. The role includes placing purchase orders, monitoring stock levels, managing supplier relationships, and negotiating terms to ensure timely product availability.

The ideal candidate has purchasing experience, is tech-savvy, and excels in Excel, with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage purchase orders for distributed product lines.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place replenishment orders to maintain optimal stock availability.
  • Negotiate pricing, freight terms, lead times, and other purchasing terms with manufacturers and distributors.
  • Build and maintain relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and supplier representatives.
  • Follow up with manufacturers and suppliers regarding order confirmations, shipment status, backorders, and delivery dates.
  • Communicate supplier updates, inventory concerns, and product availability to internal teams.
  • Maintain purchasing records and item data within company software systems.
  • Review open purchase orders and resolve delays, shortages, and discrepancies.
  • Work with sales, customer service, warehouse, and operations teams to support customer demand.
  • Analyze inventory trends, lead times, supplier performance, and purchasing opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Assist with demand forecasting and inventory planning activities.
  • Generate and maintain purchasing reports using Excel and company software systems.
  • Ensure pricing, product availability, and vendor information remain accurate.

Position Summary

Dealmed is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Buyer to manage the day-to-day purchasing activities for our distributed product lines. This role is responsible for placing purchase orders, monitoring inventory levels, managing supplier relationships, negotiating purchasing terms, following up on open orders, and ensuring timely product availability.

The ideal candidate has purchasing experience, is highly tech-savvy, possesses strong Excel skills, has excellent organizational abilities, and demonstrates exceptional follow-through and communication. This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory levels and supporting the company's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities
