Varstaff is seeking an Inventory Associate II at our Launch Site One in Van Horn, TX. You will manage shipments, count inventory, and operate forklifts in a fast-paced, highly technical environment.
This role emphasizes quality, safety, and data accuracy, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and work closely with a multidisciplinary team.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in fulfillment center operations at our Launch Site One location in Van Horn, TX. You will handle incoming shipments, manage inventory, operate heavy material-handling equipment, and maintain accurate records within our inventory management system. As a key member of the team, you will drive continuous improvement by identifying operational roadblocks, supporting root-cause analysis, and maintaining high standards of quality control and safety across all workflow stages in a highly technical environment.

2+ years of experience in Fulfillment Center Operations, specifically within receiving and inventory functions.
Experience in inventory counting, receiving, packing, put-away, picking/kitting, or shipping.
Proven experience operating forklifts and other heavy machinery/PIT equipment.
Strong communication, mathematical, and analytical skills to define problems, collect data, and draw logical conclusions.
Dedicated mindset with an focus on world-class quality, attention to detail, and team collaboration.
Demonstrated skill and hands-on experience operating forklifts and other PIT equipment (e.g., electronic pallet jacks, reach-trucks, turret-trucks).
Ability to derive inventory requirements directly from Bills of Materials (BOM).
Ability to unload carrier shipments, visually inspect packages against standard operating procedures (SOPs), and perform required quality control checks per part number.
Systematic upload, storage, and processing of work orders/receipts using inventory management tools.
Skills in packaging, labeling, marking, sorting, staging, and properly storing/auditing inventory.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and strict adherence to safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.
Warehouse, receiving, or inventory experience specifically within the aerospace or automotive industries.
Advanced experience with electronic pallet jacks (EPJs).
