Varstaff Staffing is seeking an Associate - Material Movement I - D for our Rocket Park LC36 facility in Merritt Island, FL. You will handle incoming shipments, manage inventory, and operate heavy material-handling equipment while maintaining accurate records in our inventory system.

The role requires 2+ years in fulfillment center operations, experience with receiving, packing, put-away, picking, or shipping, and the ability to work safely on an active construction site with PPE compliance.

About the Job:

In this role, you will play a crucial part in fulfillment center operations at our Rocket Park (LC36) facility. You will handle incoming shipments, manage inventory, operate heavy material‑handling equipment, and maintain accurate records within our inventory management system. Operating within an active construction and development site with heightened hazards, you will drive continuous improvement by identifying operational roadblocks, supporting root‑cause analysis, and maintaining rigorous quality control and safety standards across all workflow stages.

Shift: D Shift | Friday – Sunday, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

What We’re Looking For Education & Experience

2+ years of experience in Fulfillment Center Operations, specifically within receiving and inventory functions.

Experience in inventory counting, receiving, packing, put-away, picking/kitting, or shipping.

Proven experience operating heavy equipment (PIT) and forklifts in a fulfillment or material handling environment.

Strong communication, mathematical, and analytical skills to collect data, solve operational issues, and maintain data accuracy.

Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, high‑hazard construction site environment while maintaining a safety‑first mindset.

Must‑Have Skills

• Equipment Operation: Required prior forklift experience and proficiency with heavy machinery/PIT equipment (e.g., electronic pallet jacks, reach‑trucks, turret‑trucks).
• Site Security & Badging: Ability to obtain and maintain a DBIDS badge.
• Receiving & Quality Control: Ability to unload shipments, visually inspect incoming packages against standard operating procedures (SOPs), and execute quality control checks.
• Inventory & Systems Management: Hands‑on experience navigating inventory software, conducting storage audits, systematically documenting receipts, and deriving inventory requirements from Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Packaging & Staging: Expertise in identifying packaging requirements, wrapping, labeling, marking, and securely staging materials to avoid loss or damage.
• Physical & Safety Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and strict commitment to site safety protocols, hazards, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

Nice‑to‑Have Skills (Preferred)

Warehouse, receiving, or inventory experience within the aerospace or automotive industries.
