Varstaff Staffing is seeking an Associate - Inventory I - A for an on-site role in Orlando, FL. This position supports receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations across shift A (6:00 AM–4:30 PM), with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and quality.
Responsibilities include unloading shipments, inspecting for defects, data entry into the inventory system, forklift operations, and routine audits. Prior experience in aerospace or automotive contexts is a plus.
Shift: A Shift (Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM).
Receiving & Inspection: Unload incoming carrier shipments, visually inspect packages for defects, and complete quality control checks according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Inventory & Data Entry: Document receipts, systematically close out work orders, and input physical delivery data accurately into the inventory management system.
Material Handling & Equipment: Safely operate heavy machinery and Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) to move materials, including forklifts, electronic pallet jacks (EPJs), reach-trucks, and turret-trucks.
Packaging & Staging: Correctly wrap, package, label, and securely stage parts, boxes, or crates to prevent loss throughout the manufacturing and fulfillment workflow.
Storage & Auditing: Assign storage locations for bulk or individual parts and perform routine inventory audits.
Problem Solving: Monitor and escalade workflow roadblocks, participating in root cause analysis to prevent downstream defects.
Experience: 2+ years of fulfillment center operations experience, specifically within receiving and inventory functions.
Equipment: Previous certified forklift experience (and willingness to drive/train on multiple forklift types).
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.
Safety & Quality: Strict adherence to safety protocols (including PPE) and a strong commitment to attention to detail and world-class quality.
Technical & Soft Skills: Ability to derive inventory requirements from Bills of Material (BOM), perform basic mathematical/analytical data collection, and communicate effectively in a technical environment.
Industry Context: Warehouse, receiving, or inventory experience specifically within the aerospace or automotive industries.
