Job summary

JBS Foods is seeking an Inventory Assistant in Greeley, CO for the Accounting department. The role starts at $23.00 per hour and is non-exempt. Primary duties include accurate SAP input of inventory adjustments, reconciling invoices, and supporting cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.

The position requires 2-3 years of related accounting/inventory experience, strong communication skills, and a HS diploma (Bachelor's preferred). Occasional bilingual English/Spanish may be preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalency required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in accounting or inventory or similar.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Input inventory adjustments into SAP promptly and accurately.
• Compile invoices and packing lists with daily receipts report.
• Resolve vendor invoice discrepancies with AP and vendors.
• Address Goods Received/Invoice Received issues to resolution.
• Assist in receiving and distributing supplies; perform cycle counts.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Inventory Assistant

Department: Accounting

Location: Greeley, CO Value Added Plant

Salary Class: Salary Non-Exempt

JBS is seeking a salary non-exempt Inventory Assistant! Position starts at $23.00 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accurately and promptly input inventory adjustments to SAP for vendor received materials/parts and plant-to-plant transfers.
• Compile received invoices and packing lists with daily Receipt Evaluation Report.
• Reconcile vendor invoice discrepancies and work with accounting, Accounts Payable, and vendors to resolve any problems.
• Work through Goods Received/Invoice Received problems to resolution.
• Deliveries will require handling using any of the following: hand trucks, pallet jack, and fork lift.
• Receiving supplies into store room as they are brought in
• Distributing supplies to individuals that are coming in for supplies
• Perform cycle counts and audits as needed to maintain inventory accuracy
• Verify physical counts of inventory identifying variances from previous day
• Assist in maintaining chemical inventory
• Other duties assigned

Requirements:

Education:

Minimum high school diploma or equivalency required, Bachelor's degree preferred.

2-3 years of experience in positions of accounting / inventory or similar

Work Environment:

The work environment may include cold and/or hot temperatures, fast-paced setting, and exposure to various chemicals, machinery, and knives. Can further include slippery floors and loud noises.
