Job summary

JBS USA in Colorado is seeking a salary non-exempt Shipping Clerk starting at $23.00 per hour. Primary duties include tracking orders, updating shipments, recording carrier details in Shop-Floor and Excel, and ensuring orders align with paperwork and scans.

Responsibilities

• Track and update order changes in Shop-Floor and notify shipping staff by email.
• Record and track carrier information, including truck and dock times, in Excel.
• Assign carriers/trailers to docks per the Transportation Planner's schedule.
• Verify orders against paperwork and scans in Shop-Floor.
• Generate and transfer load diagrams and print/assemble documents with signatures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Track and update order changes in Shop-Floor. (i.e. canceled load, cases added,loadmoved to another dayor plant)
• Keep track of loads that are carried over or loaded ahead and notify other shipping staff via e-mail.
• Recordand trackcarrier information, includingcompanyname, trailer number, the customer they arepicking up for,dockin and out times, departure times, pallet count, case count and netweightonthedaily Truck Log both manually and electronically in Microsoft Excel.
• Assign carriers/trailers toadock orthewaiting areafollowing a schedule produced by theTransportationPlanner.
• Usethe Loader’s completedload diagram to compare the number of cases by product code to the order.Validate what they have recordedmatches the order on paper as well aswhat they have scanned to the orderin Shop-Floor.
• Follow-up rotationon allfinishedorders.Runareportfrom Shop-Floor Softwareto make sure rotation is correct and letthe Loader knowofanychangesthatare necessary.
• Enter pallettype and quantity, seal number, temperature recorderID numberand temperatureinformation along with thetrailer number when billing a load in Shop-Floor.
• Verify withsecuritythat the truck is of legal weight, <80,000 lbs.If over-weight, take action to have cases removed or redistributed on the trailer.
• Keep track of all shortages manually and electronically.Record the order number, customer, product code, product description, how many of that code were ordered, how many shipped, the amount shorted, and an explanationfor the shortage.
• Print and assemble all documents obtaining signatures from the carrier and the clerk.
• Close outdepartedorders in Shop-Floor.
• Document all inbound productand receive orders in Shop-Floor.
• Manually post orders that have not closed properly in SAP.
• Generate orderpick sheetsfrom Shop-Floorandtransfer the information toloaddiagrams.
• Organize and maintainshippingfiles on a daily basis.
• Responsible for inventory of supplies (printer toner and ribbons, temperaturerecorders,etc.) and requesting more be order in a timely manner.
• Keeping an accurate inventoryof drop trailersandnotifyingthe Transportation Planner when in need of trailers.
• Other duties assigned

• Strong communication skills verbal and written
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic math skills including: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and percentage calculations

Qualifications:

• Able to work fulltime M-F; Weekends and overtime as needed

The work environment may include cold and/or hot temperatures, fast-paced setting, and exposure to various chemicals, machinery, and knives. Can further include slippery floors and loud noises.
