Job summary

Dallas Independent School District is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to manage district devices and recover missing or damaged technology assets. You will use district inventory software and collaborate with campus staff and security teams.

You will communicate with parents and guardians for retrieval of non-returned devices from withdrawn students and maintain PowerSchool-based withdrawn student data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Accredited high school diploma or equivalent (USA equivalency).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with Google Sheets and basic data entry.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Utilize district inventory software to maintain accurate inventory control and recover devices reported lost, stolen, or damaged.
• Collaborate with District Police to recover reported stolen devices.
• Communicate with parents/guardians for retrieval of non-returned devices from withdrawn students.
• Maintain accurate database of withdrawn students from PowerSchool notifications.
• Work with Asset Management and IT Security to ensure proper asset data and security for decommissioned devices.
• Provide excellent communication and customer service to parents, students and employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
