Job summary

Dallas Independent School District is seeking an Inventory Control/Asset Recovery specialist to manage district inventory software, recover lost or stolen technology, and maintain accurate records through PowerSchool and the Asset Management team.

The role requires strong Microsoft Office and Google Sheets skills, effective communication with parents, staff, and students, and collaboration with IT Security and campus teams.

Qualifications

• Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Experience with Google Sheets.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Utilize district inventory software to maintain accurate inventory control and recover technology devices that has been reported lost, stolen, or damaged.
• Work with district police department to recover reported stolen devices.
• Communicate with parents/guardians for proper retrieval of non-returned devices from withdrawn students.
• Maintain accurate database of withdrawn students received from PowerSchool notifications.
• Work with Asset Management Department for accurate asset data for all withdrawn students.
• Ensure all decommissioned devices are documented and processed in a timely manner.
• Work with Information Technology Security team to ensure all lost or stolen devices are locked in a timely manner.
• Work with Human Capital Management Department to retrieve data of exiting staff.
• Collaborate with Dallas ISD Campus Staff as needed.
• Provide excellent communication and customer service to parents, students and employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and/ or manager.
• All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, as appropriate.
